Y6 Diversity Day - LGBT

Lesson: British Values

Class: Year 6 Year: 2022 - 2023

What a fantatsic day!

During Diversity Day, Year 6 have discussed a variety of topics regarding diversity in our society: homophobia and how we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community; the dangers of stereotyping and what stereotyping means and who were the Suffragettes and the Suffragists and how did they gain the right for women to vote. We have had insightful class discussions, researched information to aid our discussions, created some Pride-inspired art and produced pencil sketches of Millicent Fawcett and Emmeline Pankhurst. We have been very proud of Year 6 today and of the maturity, tolerance and astuteness they have shown.
