World Book Day - Book In a Box
Date: 4th Mar 2023 @ 1:31pm
Our 'Book in a Box' competition took place in association with World Book Day. The children worked hard in capturing key features of their favourite book within a box. These were a delight to see. Some were interactive and included challenges such as 'How many peas can you see?' in a Supertato representation or having to use a torch to seek out a secret message. Some included clay models, swinging objects and pop-up characters. Just wonderful! It's clear that lots of time was spent in creating entries and they were admired by their class peers.
'Book in a box' winners, chosen by our Reading Ambassadors:
Mrs Miller's Class - Lily Sankey with The Tiger Who Came to Tea
Mrs Holden's Class - Phoebe Settle with The Gruffalo
Year 1 - Noah Livingston with a Marvel Headquarters
Mrs Fisher's Class - Edward Heyes with Supertato
Miss Evan's Class - Oliver Evans with The Wizard of Oz
Miss Johnstone's Class - Roman Carr with 'The Golden Ticket'
Mrs Capstick's Class - James Morgan with Fantastic Mr Fox
Year 5 - Layla Ryder with Hansel and Gretel
Year 6 - Jacob Reece with Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets.
A huge well done to all of those who took part. Their creations were fabulous!
