Woodland Autumn Walk

In ‘understanding of the world’, we ventured just outside of our school grounds to understand our local environment and explore for signs of autumn. We found berries, holly, trees becoming bare, squelchy mud, a gorgeous variety of colourful, fallen leaves, mushrooms, and moss. We talked about woodland animals and shared a story about Hovis the Hedghog, whilst sitting on our buckets in the woodland. We listened carefully for signs of the Gruffalo! Thankfully, he didn’t make an appearance.
