Diversity Day focusing on disabilities.

Date: 17th Feb 2023 @ 3:54pm

What an amazing day we have had today. We have learned so much about people with disabilities and how amazing they are. We have

Watched videos of the Paralympian Mike Shultz, Completed a reading activity based on Mike Schultz. Next we had written interview questions to ask Mike Schultz and performed a Sky Sports interview to the class. After our mornign break we looked at understanding braille and then even used braille to write tour own name and messages.

This afternoon we had a fantatsic and inspirational talk from Wigan Warriors Wheelchair Rugby team and then finished the day learning the lyrics to The Greatest Showman to show I doesn't matter how different you feel or what disabilities you have that you should always be yourself and be proud. We ended the day by performing the song using sign language to support the deaf people and show how they communicate with others.

We have had the best day!
