Please find attached the letter following our recent Ofsted inspection. I hope you are pleased with the contents and feel it is a reflection of our school. We had a ceiling of ‘good’ under this new very demanding framework and I have been told that out of 24 schools inspected in September, 14 were inadequate, five required improvement, five were good and none were outstanding!
There is lots to celebrate and I do feel that the inspector has captured our school in the opening paragraph. She goes on to praise our curriculum, our work with children with special needs, behaviour in school and pastoral development. The teaching of mathematics was described during the inspection as ‘exemplary and noteworthy.’
I am very proud of our children and my colleagues on the staff team. Furthermore, I was overwhelmed by the level of support on Parent View and by the comments made by parents who spoke to the inspector. We are a happy, successful school. There is a great atmosphere every day and it is a subject of great pride that we are so heavily over-subscribed.
We take nothing for granted however, and will continue to strive to be the very best in all we do. Thanks again.
