It has been a busy and purposeful week in school as always, with lots to celebrate. Something we love to celebrate is positive feedback from the wider community about our pupils. When Y4 went on their visit to Haigh Hall yesterday, members of the public and Haigh staff commented on their superb manners, behaviour and consideration for others. These behaviours reflect our core values at Marus Bridge and are part of why it is such a special place! The Y5/6 football team similarly represented school brilliantly and played well against Winstanley this week, ultimately being beaten, but producing one of the goals of the season!
Unsworth Pride Award
Today, in our star of the week assembly, we celebrated a special award – The Unsworth Pride award. This award is dedicated to a former colleague, Mrs Unsworth, beloved and respected by the school community for her championing of kindness, courage and charity. This year’s winner was Sienna Mills, who was nominated due to her ongoing charity work, as well as her tireless efforts to help others. Further details will be shared on our Facebook Page. Well done, Sienna!
School dinners are nutritious, delicious and free to KS1 (EYFS/Y1/Y2). Why not give them a try? There is a great choice of hot and cold options to pick from each day, that are well-balanced and tasty. There are also themed days too for those who don’t have them everyday, just look out for the flyers from school. I can certainly recommend them (I have had quite a few over the years!) Please speak to the office with any questions.
