It was a pleasure to see parents and family members at EY and KS1 sports day today – thankyou for attending. As you could see, the children had a great time and fully entered into the spirit of the racing (as did the spectators)! The choir enjoyed a party after school to celebrate their last session together, well done all of you and thankyou to Mrs Hurst and Mrs Taylor for orchestrating! As we move towards the final week of the year, here are some quick reminders:
We are mindful that weather conditions are looking extremely hot on Monday and Tuesday. We have been sent comprehensive guidance on this from Wigan Council. Children will have limited time in the sun, with vigorous activity also limited, and plenty of breaks to rehydrate throughout the day. Please can you send children to school with sun cream applied, hats/caps and refillable water bottles.
School reports will be sent home on Monday. We are very proud of what our pupils have achieved, not just academically, but pastorally and in their interests outside of school too. They make us proud to teach them and make us smile everyday. Some children may still be catching up following the past two years of disruption and we endeavor to get the best outcomes for all children over the coming years of school.
Final Day – Friday 22nd July – 1.30pm pick-up.
School closes at 1.30pm. Please join us at 1.35pm on the infant yard to give our Y6 pupils a ‘guard of honor’, clapping them out of school for the very last time and on to the next step of their journey.
You are welcome to join PTA members, that’s both parents and teachers, at the advertised meeting on Monday at 5pm in school. Biscuits and refreshments provided!
Reception – Wednesday 20th July @ 9.10
Y6 – Friday 21st July @ 9.10
Have a great weekend and enjoy the warm weather,
