Christmas Jumper Day – Friday 14th December

Friday 14th December is Christmas Jumper Day and this year we shall, again, be supporting local charity The Brick Project.

The Brick Project offers a huge range of services to people who are homeless, in poverty or facing debt crisis. This includes Crisis Intervention, Hospital to Home, Asset Coaching and Wigan’s largest Foodbank. As its name suggests, it provides a safe, solid building block for people in crisis to begin rebuilding their lives.

We feel that this is a very deserving cause and hope that you will show your support by sending in an item to help a family in need at Christmas.

Items needed are:

  • non – perishable food items
  • Men’s, ladies & children’s socks, gloves & hats
  • Toiletries e.g. toothpaste, soap, shampoo & deodorant
  • Small gifts

This year’s fundraiser is being organised by Mrs Carver’s Y5/6 class as part of their Bridge Builder Community Badge.

So, chuck that small extra item in your trolley when you’re shopping & wear your Christmas jumper with pride on the 14th December. Let’s spread the wonderful Marus Bridge community spirit a little wider by putting a smile on the face of someone who really needs our support.

Thank you

Mrs Heaton
